Egypt Crafts invites you to the third annual Fair Trade Event, Fair Trade:
An Alternative Approach to Trade and Development.
The event will take place at El-Sawy Cultural Wheel from October 25 the to the 30th.
During this Fair Trade week, many activities will take place: including a
handicraft products exhibition and a pictures' exhibition.
Throughout the event the handicraft producers groups will be live and in
action; they will show their own techniques and styles and they will teach
people how to make these wonderful crafts.
During the week two main events will take place.
25th of October from 7 p.m. until 10.30 p.m.: The Opening.
The Fair Trade Egypt Foundation will be presented with interventions by:

"Arza'q- Fair Trade Stories" a documentary film by Director Islam Lofty.
Followed by an open discussion where everyone will hopefully have worked up
an appetite, food will be served. This meal will be prepared by the "Future
Women For Delicious Food."
We'll end the night with a concert featuring DIMA group.
29th of October from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.: The Workshop - Fair Trade: a solution
for small handicraft and agro producers.

Ms. Joan Karanja, Regional Director-COFTA (Cooperation for Fair Trade in
Africa)

Dr. Zohra Merabet, Executive Director-NSCE (North South Consultants
Exchange)
On this occasion will be a round table discussion with the participation of
the producer groups' representatives.
It will be an important occasion to reflect on and share knowledge and
experiences on Fair Trade.
